Alta Mae Young Fewkes Dill born Nov. 17, 1927, passed away Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at Circle of Life Hospice Home of Bentonville at 96 years young.
A lover of jokes and an amazing artist and cook, Alta owned her own restaurant, as well as a ceramic's school in her "younger years" and loved spending time cooking for friends and family and telling jokes and incredible stories about her amazing life events. She created beautiful paintings and crafts for her friends and family to display and enjoy.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father (Nellie May Bolain and Christopher Columbus Young); two husbands, Charles Frederick Fewkes and Clyde Arthur Dill; her twin brother William Ray Young; her sister, Mary Jane Jorecki, and her two sons, Charles Glen Fewkes (Berry) Sr., and Joseph Duane Fewkes.
Alta is survived by her grandson, Glen Fewkes Jr. and his wife Misty, of Bentonville; granddaughter Linda Mae Green (Fewkes) and step-grandson Damon Berry, both of Texas, as well as six great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
