Barbara Alice Turner, 79, of Pea Ridge, died Sunday at her home.
She was born May 31, 1939 at Kiowa, Oklahoma to George Goul Blankenship and Grace Nadine Frank Blankenship. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, cooking for her family and loved shoes. She was a mother to everyone, a part time doctor, loved to minister to people, loved her family, and her nieces and nephews. Barbara loved to read her Bible to people. She was a Pentecostal and attended the Pea Ridge Church of the Nazarene. She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Dean Turner whom she married April 16, 1961 in Ontario, California; her parents; a daughter Susie Brown; two sisters, Charleane Jacobellis and Phyllis Coleman.
Survivors are two sons Billy Turner Jr. (Robin) of Gravette, Donald Turner (Ann) of Pea Ridge; a daughter, Lois Dunn (Mike) of Pea Ridge; two sisters Patricia Medina of Ontario, California and Louise Pritchett of Indianapolis, Indiana; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5 at Pea Ridge Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Warren Foxworthy officiating. Burial will be at Buttram Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is set for 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 4 at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel.
