Billy Oakley Barton, 85, of Garfield died December 7, 2020 at his home.

He was born January 26, 1935 in Grant City, Missouri to Harold Barton and Clara Balsinger Barton. He was a self-employed bricklayer and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed riding mules, watching Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Virginian and The Big Valley. Bill was a member of First Baptist Church in Garfield. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Thelma Berniece Barton in March of 2020.

Survivors are his children, Randy Barton (Dovie) of Exeter, Mo., Brenda Bowen (Donnie) of Garfield, Doug Barton (Colleen) of Dallas, Texas; bonus children, Barbara Swanson and her late husband Johnny of Batesville, Ark., Patricia Martin (Stan) Of Yukon, Ok., Karen Bryant of Rogers, and Mike Webb ( Shelly) of Pea Ridge; a sister, Dorothy Williams (Stanley) of Garfield; seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12 at First Baptist Church in Garfield. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
