Buddy James Townsend, 68, of Seligman, Missouri passed away suddenly Saturday, July 19, 2025 in Cassville, Missouri.  He was born in Bentonville, Arkansas to James Alfred Townsend and Wanda Mae Mattingly Townsend.

He was a lifelong resident of the area and worked operating heavy equipment until he retired.  He was a Christian and attended Harbor of Praise. Buddy loved playing the guitar and the harmonica and was self-taught.  He used his talent to bless others.

He enjoyed any opportunity to be outdoors hunting, fishing or just foraging through the woods.  He passed away following a successful day of fishing with his sweet wife, Anita.   He loved and was very proud of his big family and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Linda Kay Whittle, Dennis Townsend and Tommy Townsend.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Anita Lynn Townsend, 7 children, Joshua Townsend, Terri Townsend (Whitney), Jimmy Townsend (Tabby), Lela Joy Tunnell, (Ryan), Miranda Rose Webb, Nickolus J. Townsend and Calvin Lee Townsend (Dulce); sixteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many dear friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday July 25, 2025 at Sisco Funeral Home with Chaplain Jo Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at Pace Cemetery in Garfield, Arkansas.
