Carl Nelson Posey, 90, of Pea Ridge, died November 15 at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville.
He was born July 17, 1926 in Garfield to George Nelson Posey and Tennie Foster Posey. He was a resident of the area his entire life and worked for Mistletoe Freight in Fayetteville. He loved square dancing and was a longtime member of the Ridge Rocker Square Dancing Club. Carl was an Army Veteran and most recently drove disabled veterans back and forth from Fayetteville to Little Rock logging more than 150,000 miles. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bill Davidson; a brother, Arthur Posey and a sister, Georgia Taylor.
Survivors are his wife of fourteen years Reba Creekmore Posey of the home; a daughter, Connie Collins and wife Danya Huffstuttler of Sierra Vista, Arizona; two step-daughters, Barbara Creekmore and Connie Robbins of Pea Ridge; a step-son, Leeroy Creekmore of Pea Ridge; his dog and loving companion Bobo; numerous, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of square dancing friends.
Cremation arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. No services are planned at this time.
