Clifton Barens, Sr.  76, of Garfield, Arkansas, passed away on August 1, 2026. He was born in the Mountaintop Community near Ozark, Arkansas, in Franklin County, to Keelan and Ardith Barens. His family later moved to Northwest Arkansas, where he graduated from Springdale High School with the Class of 1969.

In his early years, Clifton worked for L.E. Myers before discovering his passion for being an over-the-road truck driver. He later became a skilled carpenter and retired as a Construction Superintendent with Buildings, Inc. of Springdale, where he successfully oversaw several large projects. Following retirement, he loved working on the farm and raising cattle. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Keelan and Ardith Barens, and by his brother, Joe Barens.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ramona Barens, whom he married in April 1972. Together they raised two sons, Cliff Barens Jr. and wife, Jamie, and Chris Barens and wife, Lacie, all of Garfield, Arkansas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
