Dale was born in Illinois and was raised by his mother, Barbara and grandmother, Mabel.

When they moved to Loves Park, he met the love of his life, Pat when they were 12 and thus began the sweetest of love stories.  At the age of 18, he accepted Jesus as his Savior and was a faithful follower and remains so even now as he is in the very presence of the Father and Jesus. Together they had three daughters: Shemon, Shamere, and Shondel.  For a time, they lived in Arizona before settling in Arkansas.

Dale was a gifted and sought after barber and served as a deacon in multiple churches.  He enjoyed life but was especially fond of animals, nature, history, and tinkering.

Dale stepped into the presence of Jesus and the fullness of Heaven on August 26th.   He was a man of immense humor, deep kindness, and a well of wisdom.  One of his greatest pleasures was bringing joy to others with a smile, story, or a joke.  He cherished every moment with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and daughters: Shamere German Ayen and Shondel Obenland; sons in law whom he loved as his own: Thomas Carney and Christopher Allen Obenland; brothers: Milo and Stan Ayen; grandchildren: Joshua Carney (Jennifer), Dillon Carney (Candice), Tyler Carney (Chyenne), Brandon German, Benjamin German (Kassandra), Beau German, Tim Mendoza (Jennifer), Stephanie Gilbert (Aaron), Jacquelyn Obenland Babb.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara, daughter Shemon Carney and grandson Brandon Obenland.

A celebration of Dale's life will be held at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, September3, 2024 at Twelve Corners Church, 15993 Twelve Corners Rd Garfield, Ar. 72732. Please join the family after the service for food and fellowship in the dining hall.
