David Wayne Bailey of Garfield, AR passed from this life Sunday, January 18th after a short illness. He was born on August 16, 1976 in Fayetteville AR to Leonard W. Bailey and Nancy L. Harriman Bailey. David is survived by his parents of Garfield and two sisters, Janet Knappier and her husband Chad of Hot Springs Village AR and Alisa Seals of Garfield AR. He is also survived by three nephews and two nieces, Hailey Johnson (Taylor), Tanner Seals (Shannon), Mark Knappier, Bailey Knappier and Hunter Seals. David also had 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Ann Bailey and Wayne and LaNora Harriman, and his uncle John Harriman.

David graduated from Springdale High School where he participated in the marching band as well as speech and debate. After graduation he attended Oklahoma Christian University for three years majoring in music performance. David had a number of jobs through the years but he had found his true calling over the last year working with autistic kids as a registered behavior technician at INNER CIRCLE. He said he had the best job in the world – he got to play with kids all day long. Every day he talked about how special the kids were and how smart they were. David made friends easily and was loved by a host of friends and a multitude of extended family. David was a faithful member of the Garfield Church of Christ. He had also recently been accepted to join "The Shiloh Singers" group of Springdale.

David had many health struggles including surviving cancer in 2011 and had stayed in remission since that time. However, as with anyone having cancer, he was always very susceptible to any sickness but he didn't let that slow him down. He loved being useful and worked hard at any job he had. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and coworkers but more so by the special kids he had the opportunity to see and love every day.

Service is set for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January, 22, 2026 at Garfield Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Ledbetter Cemetery in Japton, Arkansas. No visitation.
