David "Bounce" Lee Whitmer, 72, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at his home.

He was born September 2, 1951 in Jackson, Mississippi to Robert Arthur Whitmer and Mildred Marie (Gilbert) Whitmer. He was a 1969 graduate of Pea Ridge High School where he played football, basketball and track. He loved fishing, camping, coin collecting and music. He was a history buff and loved to talk and tell stories. David loved his family and would help anyone in need (often opening his home up to people). He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Debi Whitmer; a son, Zach Snow and brothers, Jeff and Stevie Whitmer.

Survivors are his children, Misty Wilson of Rogers, Wes Whitmer (Adina) of Rogers, Steven Polk of Bella Vista, brother, Tommy Whitmer of Rogers, sister-in-law, Carrie Whitmer of Fayetteville, son-in-law, Danny Wilson of Gravette, grandchildren, Jurnee Wilson and Elena Whitmer, two nieces, Rachel Kopek of Fayetteville, Chelsie Harper of Rogers and many extended family members and friends.

A celebration of David's life will be held from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge. Friends and family are invited to drop in anytime between 6-8.
