Obituary

Deborah Jean Button passed away at her home in Bentonville, AR surrounded by her loving family on July 15, 2026 at the age of 72. She was born June 16, 1954 at the U.S. Naval Hospital inSan Diego California to Iona Lucille Bowman (David) and Earnest Eugene Bowman.

She moved with her family to Little Rock, Arkansas in 1969 then subsequently to Rogers, Arkansas. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1972. Deborah married Robert Dean Button on January 15, 1972. They then moved to Houston, Texas where Robert began his career in the US Coast Guard. She was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother. While she herself did not serve in military she served her family and country as a supportive military daughter, spouse and mom for numerous decades. Deborah quietly supported individual veterans and their families during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where her son served in the US Army. For a period of time, Deborah was employed by Wal-Mart Stores, retiring from the workforce from the Wal-Mart Pharmacy Repack facility in Bentonville, AR where she met some of her closest friends.

Mrs. Button was a kind hearted person, loved animals and her cross-stitch. She loved Mexican food and made many memories with family and friends dining out at Mexican restaurants all over the country. Deborah put all her energy, heart, and soul into caring for her husband, children, family, and her beloved dogs. She always placed the needs of others before her own, even throughout her prolonged illness. Her mental, physical, and spiritual strength were an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Deborah faced every challenge with courage, unwavering determination, and remarkable resilience, never allowing her circumstances to diminish her love and devotion to those around her. Her selfless heart leave a legacy that will continue to guide and comfort her family. As an adult, Deborah was a member of the Church of Christ in Bentonville and Bella Vista where she was baptized and accepted Christ as her savior.

She was preceded in death by her parents and older brother Robert Michael Bowman.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years Robert Dean Button, daughter Brenna Jean Neumann (Button), son Eric Dean Button, brother Darrell Wayne Bowman, (Sabrina), sister in law Melissa Bowman, nephew Nathan Bowman ( Lane), niece Hayley Bowman ( Alex Rumsey), niece Sydney Bowman, and many other family members of the Button family.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday July 19 at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Private graveside will be at Union Chapel Cemetery in Garfield, Arkansas.
