Obituary

Delbert Leon "Buster" Horton, 87, of Pea Ridge died December 15, 2020 at his home.

He was born August 2, 1933 in Rocky Comfort, Missouri to George Lee Horton and Dorothy Jane Clark Horton. He worked for Kraft Foods as a mil hauler, Co-op Poultry and RTW for 30 years. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and yard work. He coached Little League Baseball and was a Mason. Buster was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, where he served as a Deacon and on the Bus Ministry for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Rodney Horton; siblings, Clarence, Lawrence, George and Hershel Horton, Myrtle Akehurst, Ruby Hoyt, Eileen Akehurst, Inez Horton, Joyce Cooper; a grandson, Jimmy Rust; two great-granddaughters, Nola Rust and Chevelle Rust.

Survivors are his wife Zelda Lavon Horton whom he married August 2, 1957 of the home; a daughter, Karen Rust of Pea Ridge; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Horton of Pea Ridge; granddaughter-in-law, Syble Rust of Rogers; a sister, Wilma Thompson of Cassville, Missouri; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Service is set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Visitation will begin at noon on Friday at the church. All Covid -19 rules will be followed at church. Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery.
