Dema Nellie Haynes McDaniel, 94, of Avoca, passed away Thursday, August 1, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was born December 13, 1924, at Avoca to Walter and Clara Haynes. She was a cook at Rogers High School, a food service supervisor and cook at a local nursing home and worked at Emerson Electric. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Garfield and is preceded in death by her husband George McDaniel; her parents; three sisters Faye Coppin, Ada Putman and Alta Roney; and three brothers Ernest, Ray and Arthur Haynes. Survivors are three sons Larry (Connie) McDaniel and Myles (Debbie) McDaniel all of Rogers, and Douglas (Shirley) McDaniel of Avoca; three grandchildren Michael McDaniel, Venesa Cerasale, and Heath McDaniel; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service is set for 10:00a.m. Monday, August 5, at Tucks Chapel Cemetery. No visitation. Online condolences may be made at siscofuneralhome.net
