Obituary

Donald Reid Nations, 77, of Gentry, Arkansas died May 11, 2024 at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

He was born February 16, 1947 in Wanilla, Mississippi to Ervie V. Nations and Netta Letchworth Nations. He worked in the oil fields in the Gulf and was a member of the Army National Guard in Monticello, Ms. Donald married Sandra Reid September 7, 1974 and later made their home in Gentry, Arkansas for the past thirty years. He loved to hunt and fish, winemaking, and had a green thumb for gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James, Frank, Harold, Ernest and Bennie; sisters, Betty Short and Lucy Chase.

Survivors are his wife, of forty-nine years, Sandra Nations of the home; two sons, Shannon Nations and wife Melissa of Gentry, Lance Nations and wife Stacy of Gentry; brother DeWitt Nations of Monticello, Ms.; three grandsons, Colton Nations, Matthew Alsip, Hunter Thomas; four granddaughters, Olivia Nations, Taylor Crowell, Cameron Balusek, Hayley Lovelady; five great-grandchildren, Tuesday Copeland, Brantley Lovelady, Emma Lovelady, Waylon Alsip and Bryer Thomas.

A celebration of life will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the McKee Community Building (next to library) in Gentry, Arkansas.
