Doris Lavon Arnold Moore, 88, of Verona, Missouri, died September 3, 2017 at Cox Hospital in Monett, Missouri.
She was born September 22, 1928 in Harman County, Oklahoma to Roger Thurman Sustaire and Ethel Pearl Craven Sustaire. She was a homemaker and later worked as a cook for Bates Hospital in Bentonville for 15 years. She enjoyed going to Bluegrass Festivals, crocheting, sewing, and canning vegetables and fruit. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Monett and is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jess Arnold; her second husband, Roy Moore; two brothers, William and J. Sustaire; three sisters, Velma Harris, Linda Jo Sustaire and Mary Webb; a grandson, Lester Arnold and a great-grandson Ryder Harmon.
Survivors are five sons, Jess Arnold (Joy) of Pea Ridge, Danny Arnold (Linda) of Wilson, Ok., John Arnold of Verona, Mo., Joe Arnold, and Paul Arnold (Claudia) all of Pea Ridge; a daughter, Mary Steele of Youngstown, Florida; a brother, James Sustaire of Salmon, Idaho; adopted son, David Cockrell of Purdy, Mo.; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service is set for 10:00 A.M. Thurday September 7 at Arnold Cemetery in Pea Ridge. No Visitation. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
