Obituary

Douglas Andrew "Doug" Cooley, 79, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas passed away May 27, 2026 at Circle of Life in Springdale, Arkansas.  He was born April 14, 1947, in Winfield, Kansas to Jack Alfred Cooley and Helen Winnie (Osborne) Cooley Davis.

He moved to Pea Ridge in 1964 and graduated from Pea Ridge High School in 1965.  Doug married his high school classmate, Martha Jane McKinney on January 19, 1968.

Following graduation, he joined and proudly served in the Arkansas Army National Guard from 1967 until 1972.

Doug was an experienced machinist and worked at various factories including Daisy, Bear Brand, Crane, Beech Aircraft, Boeing Aircraft and retired from Walmart PMDC in 2008.

He was an avid hunter and enjoyed archery and playing golf.   He loved to fish and for several years caught enough fish with his fishing buddy to feed the local retirement home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Cooley and one sister, Brenda Burnett.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Martha Jane McKinney Cooley; two children, Shannon Nobles of Pea Ridge and Alanda Cooley (Scott Warden) of Pea Ridge; four grandchildren, Malcum Nobles, Marcus Nobles, Gavin Warden and Zaylee Warden and one brother, Delwyn Cooley of Mulvane, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2026 at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.  Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Pea Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Brian Timmons officiating.   Military honors will be provided by the American Legion, Post #100.
