Edward Winstanley Lehane, 96, of Rogers, Arkansas died September 25, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
He was born June 10, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York to James Lehane and Evangeline Josiah Lehane. He was a long time resident of Long Island, New York and led a full and exciting life. He was a WWII Veteran serving aboard the USS Lexington CV-16 in the Pacific Theater. He served twenty years as a New York City police officer and was a member of the prestigious NYPD Honor Legion. Edward retired from there as a highly decorated, first grade, gold shield detective. He worked twenty years as the Director of Security/Loss Prevention for Navy Resale and Service Support world wide and was of the Catholic faith. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of thirty-five years, Marjorie Marie McCaffery and a son, Daniel Lehane.
Survivors are two sons, Thomas and Edward B. Lehane of Pensacola, Florida; a daughter, Mary Wood and husband Robert of Bella Vista, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Patrick Wood and wife Kala of Garfield, Arkansas, Matthew Wood of Bella Vista and Katie McCarl of Chesepeake, Virginia.
Local arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. No services are planned at this time.
