Evelyn M. Falkenstein (Mary Evelina Weigel) 103, of Bentonville passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 15, 2024.  She was born July 29, 1921, in Ellis, Kansas and was the sixth child of 14 children.  She was preceded in death by per parents, all 13 brothers and sisters, three sons, two daughters in law, one grandson and ex-husband of 40 years, Norbert J. Falkenstein (Sonny).

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Diane Holland (Falkenstein) and husband Ray Holland of Seligman, MO, son Raymond Falkenstein and wife Cheryl of Rogers, AR, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren.

Evelyn worked very hard into her early 80's with occupations including farming, housekeeper for two state senators, restaurant owner/operator, elderly caregiver, homemaker, and a really good cook.  She often claimed that hard work was the secret to a long life.

Evelyn enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning, quilting, visiting with friends and sassy conversations with her brothers and sisters in their native German language.

Visitation will be at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge, AR on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Evelyn will be Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
