Frank Alfred Loyd Smith Jr., 84, of Pea Ridge, died Sept. 10, at NW Medical Center in Bentonville.
He was born November 8, 1931, at Lantry, South Dakota to Frank Alfred Smith Sr. and Mabel Mary Schultz Smith. He had lived in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota and Arkansas before moving to northwest Arkansas in 1966 to make his home. He had lived in Pea Ridge since 1993. In 1993 her retired from Peterson Industries after 27 years as a feed truck driver. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Velma Smith; an infant son Alfred Smith; six brothers, Fred, Harold, Lloyd, Arthur, Jerry, and Lester Smith; three sisters, Doris Haack, Hazel Smith, and Mabel Baker.
Survivors are two sons, Frank Smith Jr. (Janet) of Hugoton, Kansas and Loyd Smith (Tammy) of Decatur; three daughters, Lora Meeker (Larry) and Debra Grimes (Tony) all of Avoca, Aleda Wiltgen (Jerry) of Gateway; one brother Wilbur Smith of Wellington, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren; and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is set for 2:00p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Buttrams Chapel Cemetery. No visitation.
