Gilbert Dale Howerton, 91, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas died July 16, 2026.

He was born January 5, 1935 in Purdy, Arkansas to Ed Howerton and Elsie Hamilton Howerton. He worked in management at a cotton processing facility for many years and took great pride in his work and providing for his family. He married Beverly Ann Cousins April 29, 1976 and recently celebrated fifty years together. He loved to mow on his John Deere, college football Saturdays and fishing in his younger years. Dale enjoyed going to the Camp Auctions in Pea Ridge, visiting Webb Feed Store downtown and was a member of the US Army Reserves. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Coy, Paul, Betty Jo, Roberta Sue and Grayson.

Survivors are his wife Beverly; son, Josh Howerton and wife Flora of Casa Grande, Arizona.

Graveside service is set for 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 24, 2026 at Elm Springs Cemetery. No Visitation.
