Gisela Erika Hertrich-Daniels, 89, was born June 2, 1937 to Peter Heinrich Hermann Harms and Klara Hedwig "Heti" Schreiber-Harms.

Gisela passed away quietly and peacefully, with her daughter Angela present. She is survived by her son, Rainer Hertrich of Colorado; her son Greg Hertrich and his wife Monica of Kansas; Greg and Monica's daughters Audrey and Sophia of Kansas; and her daughter, Angela Hertrich of Arkansas.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Peter Daniels, grandson Seth Hertrich, and former husband Fred Hertrich.

Gisela and Fred relocated from Germany in 1961 to pursue employment opportunities with IBM in San Jose, California. Their first son, Rainer, was three months old at the time of the move. After settling in San Jose, Greg was born in 1962 and Angela in 1963. In 1968, IBM transferred the family to Boulder, Colorado.

After her divorce in 1970, Gisela relocated to Estes Park, Colorado, with her three children. She was very involved in their lives, supporting activities such as ski racing competitions, YMCA summer camps, and trips to San Jose, California and Aspen, Colorado. While living in Estes Park, she began her career with Mountain Bell Telephone. She later transferred to Longmont, Colorado, where she continued to work for The Bell Telephone System and then retired after 20 plus years of employment.

Gisela met Peter Daniels in 2002, and they married four years later, making their home together in Frisco, Colorado. After Peter passed away in 2012, Gisela stayed in their house, enjoying activities like hiking, biking, mushroom hunting, and going on cruises. In 2021, health reasons prompted her move to Johnstown, Colorado, where she joined her daughter Angela. Then, in 2025, both relocated to Arkansas to be closer to family.

Kelly and David Strange are hosting a Celebration of Life and Remembrance Dinner on Saturday, June 20th at 6:00 PM.  (13374 Indian Bow Circle, Garfield, AR).
