Glenda Faye "Gwen" Edmundson, 69, of Pea Ridge, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024. She was born September 27, 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Allan Franklin and Pansy Pearl Bolain Gastineau.

Gwen, her parents and sister moved to Pea Ridge in the early 1960s. She attended Pea Ridge Schools from 2nd grade and graduated in 1974.

After attending college, she lived and worked in Russellville until 1995. It was there that she met Robert. They both moved back to Northwest Arkansas and were married on June 8, 1996. She worked in the pharmacy at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers and then for the Benton County Health Department until her retirement. Gwen was a 28-year breast cancer survivor.

Gwen served as a member of the board for the Pea Ridge High School Alumni Association and enjoyed raising funds for scholarships.

Gwen was preceded into death by her parents, grandparents John and Edna Bolain, Geneva Gastineau, her stepdad Bill Meuser, her father and mother-in-law, Frank and Dorothy Edmundson.

Gwen will forever be loved and missed by Robert Edmundson, Kelly & Chad Pyle, Jason Edmundson, Brenda & Dennis Williams, Wayne & Joanna Gastineau, Erick & Vanessa Wilkerson, Kennda Miller, Blake & Becca Gastineau, Haley & Trent Jarvis, Richard & Kim Edmundson, Linda Parr, Ethan Pyle, Alexa Brewer, Chase Pyle, Caleb & Abigail Barnett, Rachel & Andrew Burns, Pat Clayton, Sherry Barnett, Randy and Karen Hickman, all of her great nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends

Memorial visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge all are welcome to attend. A private burial will be in Fayetteville National Cemetery at a later date.
