Harriet Rose Jennings-Horn, resident of Pea Ridge, entered into eternal rest on August 15 after a short and sudden illness.

Harriet was born on October 10, 1932 to Ross Robert and Edith (Hubble) Jennings in Avon, Illinois. On October 22, 1948. Harriet married Richard Irvin Horn, Sr. of Avon, in a small ceremony in Galesburg, Illinois. They were happily married for 63 years before Richard's passing in January, 2012.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two Daughters, Kathleen Elaine Horn of Anna, Illinois and Christine Marie (Horn) Siebersma of Joliet, Illinois, two Brothers, Robert D Jennings of Abingdon, Illinois and Gary E Jennings of Avon, Illinois and one Sister, Charlotte I. (Jennings) Sloan of Bushnell, Illinois. She is survived by one Brother, Michael L. Jennings of Colorado Springs, Colorado, her Son, Richard Irvin Horn Jr and his partner, Beverly G. Blackburn of Gilbert, Arizona, and two Granddaughters, Stephanie Veronica Rose (Horn) Hannah and Lee (Alecia) Rebecca Horn of Ventura, California.

"Hattie" spent her life as a professional homemaker, Mother and Grandmother. She touched the lives of many residents in the Pea Ridge area with her colorful personality, and was a beloved member of the community.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Pea Ridge United Methodist Church at 1209 N. Davis St in Pea Ridge on Saturday, September 27 at 1 PM.
