James Lionel Duncan, 88, of Pea Ridge, Ar. died July 20, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

He was born July 5, 1936 in Clare, Michigan to Lionel Duncan and Dorothy Davy Duncan. He graduated from Michigan State University before serving the United States Army as a Captain in Vietnam and a Staff Sergeant in Desert Storm. He later retired with the US Army National Guard Reserve. He loved fishing, hunting, hiking and later in life crossword puzzles and reading. James was a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Rogers and is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Francis Mieske and Janet Cappaert.

Survivors are his wife, Louisa Duncan; children, Julia Anne Duncan (Perry Wechsler) of Bend, Oregon, James David Duncan (Angela) of Rogers, Ar.; a brother, Eugene Duncan of Bend, Or.; grandchildren, Mebrat Wechsler, Habtamu Wechsler, Riley Duncan, Meagan King, Dylan Simmons and great-grandchild, Mavis Simmons.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church.
