James Mathias Laufer, 76, of Pea Ridge, died August 6 at his home.
He was born November 19, 1940 in Pasadena, California to Mathias Laufer and Marianne Bock Laufer. He made his home in Pea Ridge and loved bicycling, reading, gardening and carpentry work. He was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1966 earning an expert medal in M-14 Rifle. He worked for AAA Business Machines in Fayetteville for twenty-five years. He attended Fellowship Bible Church in Lowell. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife Kathleen Watts Nile of the home; a son Gregg Laufer and wife Kara of Naples, Florida; two daughters, Drew Anderson and husband, Jim of Durango, Colorado, and Jasmine Nile of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a step-son, William Browning and wife Candice of Springdale, Arkansas; a brother, Ron Laufer and wife Carol of Ventura, California; a sister, Linda Howell and husband Alan of Santa Barbara, California; three grandchildren, Maddie Laufer, Avan and Coen Anderson, and three step-grandchildren, John, Piper and Daniel Browning.
A visitation is set for 6-8 p.m Thursday, August 10 at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Memorial service is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, August 14 at Fellowship Bible Church in Lowell. Burial will be in the VA National Cemetery in Fayetteville
