Jeanne Ann Baker, 90, of Hulbert, Oklahoma passed away November 12, 2024 at Highlands Nursing Home in Bela Vista, Arkansas.  She was born February 4, 1934 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Floyd McDaniel and Elizabeth Jane Briscoe McDaniel.

At the age of eleven she moved with her mother and step-father, Harold Scott to Red Springs Mountain in Cookson Hills, Oklahoma.  She graduated from Tahlequah High School.   Following high school, she married William Hoyt "Junior" Baker September 4, 1953.  They had one son, Dennis Hoyt Baker.

Jeanne Ann was a very hard worker and worked at the Hulbert School System cafeteria while her son attended school there.  She started working at Prestolye Factory in Wagner, Oklahoma in 1974 and worked there until retirement.  She crocheted and quilted but her real love was quilting.   Many family members and friends have been fortunate enough to have some of her beautiful quilts.

She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Hulbert Church of Christ for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2013; one brother, Bobby Jack McDaniel; one sister, Shirley McDaniel and a brother in law, Larry Reed.

She is survived by her son, Dennis Hoyt Baker of Hulbert, OK; two grandsons, James Baker and wife, Sarah and Scott Baker and wife Desiree all of Pea Ridge, AR; one great-granddaughter, Henley Baker; three great-grandsons, Sully Baker, Finn Baker and Derringer Baker, all of Pea Ridge, AR.; one sister, Mary Katherine Masters of Tahlequah, OK.; one nephew, Terry Reed and her niece, Katie Reed Ryan, who lovely cared for Jeanne Ann the last three weeks of her life.  She is also survived by many friends.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
