Jerry Hoyt Austin, 76 years old, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas passed away peacefully on April 09, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 20, 1948, in Zinc, Arkansas, Jerry was the beloved son of Leonard and Pauline Austin. He proudly served his country after being drafted into the United States Army, where he fought in the Vietnam War as a Combat Medic with the 82nd Airborne Division.

Throughout his life, Jerry was a dedicated and hardworking man. He spent many years employed at Emerson Electric and Foam Molding Corporation, eventually retiring from Tyson Foods. Jerry had a deep love for the outdoors and particularly enjoyed riding horses and mules. Though he might not have planned on it, his dog Samson became one of his closest companions. He cherished hunting trips with his good friend Steve and shared many laughs over lunches at KFC with his friend Jerry. He also valued the time spent with all his family as well as playing pool and enjoying fellowship at the Wellness Center in Rogers.

Above all, Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His presence, strength, and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Leonard and Pauline Austin and one sister, Jeannie Scott.

Survivors are his wife of 46 years Bonnie Austin, son David(Julie) Austin of Washburn MO, daughter Laura Golden of Tennessee.  Siblings Eddie(Argie) Austin of Bentonville; Ronnie(Janice) Austin of Gravette; Fred(Marsha) Austin of Pea Ridge; Kathy(Robbie) Owen of Bentonville; Vicki(Rusty) Mulford of Aurora MO; Randy Austin of Springdale. three, grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
