Obituary

Jimmie Lee Jones, 87, of Gravette, Arkansas passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday December 22, 2024. He was born in Pea Ridge, Arkansas on December 6th, 1937, to Chauncey and Vivian Jones.

Jimmie lived a long and fulfilling life. With his first wife Lena Jones he shared his four children: Danny, Dennis, Deborah and Vickie. Jimmie and Lena started and raised their family in the Pea Ridge area and then made their home in Centerton in the 60's. He had many jobs throughout his life; he was a heavy equipment operator, milk hauler, farmer, and worked in construction. He wasn't afraid of work and continued to work up until his death.

He will be greatly missed by those that had the opportunity to know him in life. He cared for those around him whether it was for his family or his friends. If you ever needed a helping hand, you could always count on him to show up. He never met a stranger.

The most important thing to him was his family. Jimmie loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was known as the "Big Boss" to the youngest great grandchildren.  He always lit up when he was around family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children Lena Irene Jones, his second wife Jo Ann Jones, his brother Guary Don, and his two sons Danny and Dennis. He is survived by his two daughters Deborah Rhodes and her husband Emmett Rhodes, Vickie Robertson and her husband Joseph Robertson, his daughter-in-law, Jo Jones; step-son, Harold Holloway; his brother Harold Jones and his wife Evelyn Jones, his grandchildren Christi Ward and her husband Phillip Ward, Justin Robertson , Ashley Aufleger and her husband Adam Aufleger, Chasity Prince and Charity Hill and her husband Robert Hill, and his great grandchildren Jordan Ward, Hannah Ward, Hayden Aufleger, and Hunter Aufleger, and multiple nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, December 27, 2024 at Pea Ridge Cemetery. All who would like to join the family in remembering Jimmie are welcome. No public visitation.
