Joe Lester Nix, 79, of Pineville, Missouri died February 18, 2018 at his home.

He was born January 7, 1939 in Red Oak, Oklahoma to Bennie Nix and Bonnie Helen Estes Nix. He married Joyce Ann Frey October 13, 1962 in Stockton, California. He was a self employed contractor, loved to build furniture and do woodworking. He was a devout christian and loved the Lord with all his heart. He is preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Brenda Briggs and two brothers, Leroy and Lenard Nix.

Survivors are his wife Joyce Nix of the home; his mother, Bonnie Helen Nix of Chester, South Carolina; a son, Michael Nix and wife Heidi of Pineville; three sisters, Leona Green of Chester, South Carolina, Bonnie Ogden of South Carolina, Ruby Tucker of Ogden, Utah and a granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Krushas.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February, 24 at Eastside Assembly of God in Bentonville. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
