John Stanley Escue, 86, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas died January 6, 2024.

He was born June 6, 1937 in Atwood, Kansas to Ernest Emmitt Escue and Lois Ruth Cox Escue. He married Billie Sue Scott September 11, 1964. John owned and operated Escue Wood Products and played guitar for the Shady Grove Bluegrass Band. He loved to bake, flower garden and enjoyed studying the scripture He helped build Messiah Lutheran Church where he was a member. John loved his family and will be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Billie Sue; two children, Ken Lucas and Gloria Workman and a sister, Betty Sanders.

Survivors are his daughter, Sandy Fletcher of Pea Ridge; a brother, Keith Escue of Pea Ridge; grandchildren, Meghan Good, Shawnda Workman, Donda Workman, Julie Workman, Marc Shaffer, Jamie Shaffer, Eric Lucas; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation is set for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January, 9, 2024 at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge. Service is set for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Pea Ridge. Burial will be in the Pea Ridge Cemetery.
