Obituary

Ret. Master Sargent John F. Vogt, Jr., passed away July 11, 2024 at home after a brief stay on hospice.

John was born in Philadelphia, PA, September 30, 1948 the second born of John F. and Anna E. Vogt. He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister, Betty Ann and his beloved wife, Maria. John grew up in Philadelphia where he met his beautiful bride, Maria, and then he married her August 31, 1968. John joined the Air Force out of high school and eventually became a Master Electrician, rewiring fighter jets and other planes that landed on the air base here in the US and in Korea, retiring after twenty- five years, July 31, 1990. After retiring from the USAF, He also would also go on to work at the Bureau of Land Management for San Bernardino County in CA, which he retired from. John was an avid model train collector, loved leather working, coin collecting, knife and gun collecting, and food.

Survivors include, his brother Paul (s. Carol) of Philadelphia, a sister Theresa (s. Steven) of PA, son, John Christopher, (s. Patti), son Matthew, and daughter Lisa Marie.

Grandchildren include Deette Marie, Hannah and great granddaughter, Adeline Jo Marie.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus in Victorville, CA. Military interment to be 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, AR. In Lieu of flowers, please support your favorite charity.
