Lewis Brown Simpson, 80, of Cave Springs, died March 30 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

He was born December 19, 1938 in Monroe, North Carolina to Jep Brown Simpson and Josephine Edwards Simpson. He married Patricia Ann Pietraallo July 11, 1959 in Westerly, Rhode Island. He retired from the US Postal Service in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was a US Coast Guard Veteran, a military historian and enjoyed his collectibles. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Doug Simpson.

Survivors are his wife of sixty years, Patricia Simpson of the home; a son, Scott Simpson and wife, Barbara of Cave Springs; a brother, Von Simpson and wife, Valeria of Sumter, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Nickolas and Aiden.

Graveside service is set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 5 at Fayetteville National Cemetery. No visitation.
