Linda Jean
Armour
Feb 10, 1940 — Apr 18, 2026
Linda Jean Branson Armour, 86, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026. She was born February 10, 1940 in Raymondville, Missouri to Henry and Zoa Densmore Branson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bert Armour, whom she married August 6, 1960 in Raymondville; her parents; two sisters, Carol (Donald) Davis and Joanne (Werner) Spalinger; two brothers, Floyd (Mabel) Branson and Kenneth (Sharon) Branson; and one grandson, Caleb Michel. Linda was a loving and constant supporter for her family. She lived an exemplary Christian life that mirrored her commitment to her Savior. She was a member of First Baptist Church Pea Ridge.
Linda was a 1957 graduate of Houston (MO) High School. She retired from the Missouri Public School system after many years of service as a secretary at Orchard Farm High School and later at Fort Zumwalt High School. Linda deeply loved her parents and siblings. Their life on the family farm was a source of an abundance of humorous stories that she cherished and loved to share with others. There was always plenty of laughter at Branson family reunions.
Linda and Bert loved to travel throughout the U.S., often with her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Donald Davis and niece, Karen Riggle. Linda and Bert also made it a priority to take their daughters on family vacations and continued this fun tradition to include their grandchildren in later years. Linda also enjoyed daily walks, working crossword puzzles and visiting with friends. She was devoted to her grandchildren, and she lovingly provided care for them many times as they were growing up.
Linda is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Tim) Michel of Wentzville, Missouri and Carolyn Armour of Pea Ridge; four grandchildren, Andrew (Brittany) Fielder, Zachary Michel, Lydia (Tim) Wooldridge and Hannah Michel; one great-granddaughter, Tori Fielder; former son-in-law, Tim Fielder; sister, Donna (Ron) McDaniel; special niece and nephew: Karen (Terry) Riggle and Mike (Tajuana) Davis, and many other nieces and nephews. Linda was a loving and giving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
Pallbearers are Tim Michel, Andrew Fielder, Tim Fielder, Jeff Fielder and Hannah Michel. The family would like to thank Elite Hospice, Circle of Life In-Home Care, and Linda's private caregivers and neighbors for their thoughtful acts of kindness, attentiveness, and care.
