Loyd Harold Shriver Jr. (Harold), 69, a resident of Rogers, Arkansas, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 28th, 2026.

Harold was born on October 17, 1956, in Kansas City, Kansas. He was the son of Loyd Harold Shriver Sr. and Thelma (Phillips) Shriver. Harold graduated from Park Hill High School in 1974 and went on to join the army that same year. He was awarded multiple decorations and medals and rose to the rank of sergeant. He served 3 years as a prison guard at Leavenworth Military Penitentiary and was honorably discharged in 1977.

After his discharge from the military, Harold worked in the floor covering industry for many years and later in life, in the grocery industry. His hobbies included riding Harley motorcycles and woodworking, and at one time, he was an avid hunter.

Harold was fun-loving and had a knack for putting people at ease. He had a zest for life and lived life to its fullest. He was also an extremely caring and passionate person. Those closest to him felt valued, supported, and deeply cared for. He was a fierce defender of his loved ones and definitely someone you wanted in your corner. Harold had an outstanding work ethic. He took on any task methodically and with strong attention to detail.

Harold's motto in life was, you are who you are today because of your past.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Thelma Shriver.

He is survived by his spouse, Lesley Shriver; sister, Paulia Shriver of Liberty, Missouri; niece, Sunshine Shriver; great-nieces, Savanna and Jenevieve Comey of Liberty, Missouri; great-nephew Derek Comey of Columbia, Missouri; along with many other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Nagle Church, Nagle Road, Elk Creek, Missouri, on June 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Cousin Jayson Shriver will be officiating. Hymns will be provided by Jenny Shriver and Marlene Oleksak.   Burial will follow at Nagle Cemetery.
