Mariah Louise MacLennan finished her journey on earth and is now resting in the arms of her Savior, with her mind restored and her body renewed. She passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, surrounded by family and love.

Born on September 23, 1951, Mariah lived a life defined by compassion, curiosity, and boundless energy. She was preceded in death by her beloved lifetime friend Sandra Adkisson, her parents Dr. and Mrs. James Leachman, and her brothers James Leachman of Harrison, Arkansas, and Timothy Leachman of Houston, Texas. She is survived by James Adkisson of Creede, Colorado; Laurie James of Mountain Home, Arkansas; John and Lisa Leachman of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; Joel and Cortney Leachman of Brunswick, Georgia; and Aaron and Kristen Leachman of Houston, Texas. Grand nieces and nephews Mya Soto-Leachman, Cameron Leachman, Anna Taylor, Abby Taylor, Luke James, Riley Leachman, Denton Leachman, and Piper Leachman.

Mariah loved animals almost as much as she loved people, if not more. Her heart was expansive, and her kindness touched everyone she met. She was a junior high school teacher who poured herself into her students, believing deeply in their potential and dedicating countless hours to their growth. Mariah's love for the outdoors was matched only by her love for travel. While she explored much of the US, the mountains of Colorado held her heart. She often spoke of how the crisp mountain air made her feel closer to God, standing in awe of His creation. Nature, to her, was not just scenery, it was sanctuary.

Mariah embraced life with a vibrant energy. Whether running, walking, or biking, she was rarely still. Her zest for life was contagious, and her presence could fill any room. She was the life of the party, though never the center of attention; people were drawn to her warmth, her laughter, and her genuine spirit.

To her family, especially her nieces and nephews, Mariah was more than an aunt. She was a source of unconditional love. Mariah Louise MacLennan was dearly loved, deeply missed, and will be forever remembered.
