Marilyn Rose Mars, 72, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, died surrounded by loved ones on November 3, 2026.

Marilyn was born on October 18, 1954, in Huntsville, Arkansas to Ray and Lovella Smith Harvey. She was married for 55 years to her loving husband, Delbert Mars, with whom she shared 2 daughters, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Central to Marilyn’s life was her Christian faith and immense love for others. She spent many years working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in home health care, where she provided comfort and support to those in need. If you asked Marilyn, though, her greatest accomplishment was her family. Those who had the privilege of calling her “Grandma” knew they always had a soft place to land, free of judgement and full of unconditional love.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her mother (Lovella Smith Harvey), father (Ray Harvey), and siblings: Charles “Slim” Harvey, Kenneth “Kenny” Harvey, John “Roger” Harvey, Myrick “Dee” Harvey, Larry Harvey, Harry Harvey, Donald Harvey, Nancy Ogden, and Helen Shepherd.

She is survived by her husband, Delbert Mars; two daughters, Jennifer Pickard (Glenn) of Jacket, Missouri, and Ginger Robbins (Brad) of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Erik Hutcheson, Jacob Leftwich, Jordan Leftwich, Bailey Pickard, Kaitlyn Scism, Emily Scism, Rylee Edwards, and Evyn Walker; five great-grandchildren, Phoenixx Hutcheson, Cason Luker, Adeline Griffith, Tatum Leftwich, and Jett Leftwich; and siblings, Jean Austin, Marlene Cousins, Catherine Clark, Diane Ward, and Kimberly Haines.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
