Martha Ann Long, 64 of Anderson went to be with her precious Savior and Lord Jesus on March 17 after a short illness.
She entered this life on December 29, 1952 in Rogers Arkansas with the late James Nelson and Edra Faye (Warren) Crabtree as her parents. On July 3, 1974 she was united in marriage to Charles Allen Long of Picher Oklahoma. He preceded her on April 27, 2016. She was employed for 34 years at Emerson Electric and then transitioned to Wal-Mart home office where she was an Office Manager for 10 years. She came to Christ in September 2014, and soon became known as Sister Soul On Fire Martha. She loved to volunteer at the Food Bank in Foley Alabama where she had retired with long time friend Bob Nagurne to enjoy the beach and outdoors. She was a member of both Freedom Now and Freedom Fellowship churches and loved by all for her sweet nature and love of people. Her greatest desire was to live for Jesus.
Martha will be greatly missed by her children, Karla Jones and Duane of Powell, Michael Smith of Anderson, Misty Long of Anderson; 10 grandchildren, Bobby, Brenna, Justin Jaret, Damon, Jacobi, Peyton, Dalton, Shadow and Kaden; 9 great grandchildren, Roman, Ethan, Kalen, Dawsyn, Constance, Zander, Avery, Brantley and Jackson; and countless friends, relatives and church members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two siblings, Lura Louise Bailey and James Warren Crabtree.
Memorial service for Martha will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Freedom Fellowship Neosho, Missouri. Pastor Rocky Tash will officiate.
