Peggy Ellen Mann Houpt was born October 18, 1943 in Rogers, Arkansas to Frank and Georgia Mann. She departed this life April 25, 2025 in Rogers, Arkansas.
Peggy attended Garfield School until the ninth grade and graduated from Rogers High School in 1961. While attending Garfield School she became really great friends with four other girls and they became known as the "Garfield Five." Peggy worked in retail and always had a smile on her face.
On September 2, 1961, Peggy was united in marriage to Gary Houpt. Peggy and Gary traveled a lot while he served in the U.S. Army and until Peggy's health declined. She enjoyed traveling, reading, working in her yard, her pets and loved her family. Peggy attended and was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church.
Peggy is survived by her husband of almost 64 years, Gary Houpt, of Fayetteville, AR; her son, Frankie and his fiancé, Williamette Wright of Berryville, AR; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Carolyn Mann and their family, all of Garfield, AR; nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Michelle Rene Rogers Houpt.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2025 at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge Arkansas. Graveside services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Garfield, AR. with Pastor Ellis Doyle officiating.
