Rodney Eric Horton, 54, of Pea Ridge, died Wednesday, October 4 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.
He was born September 22, 1963 in Cassville, Missouri to Delbert "Buster" Leon Horton and Zelda Lavon Banks Horton. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Rodney graduated from Pea Ridge High School in 1982 and married Nancy Catherine Clark April 14, 2001. He was a planning manager for JB Hunt for thirty-one years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and baseball. He loved spending time with his family and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Glynn Free.
Survivors are his wife Cathy Horton of the home; two sons, Austin Britt Horton and Jacob Bryce Horton of Pea Ridge; his parents, Buster and Zelda Horton of Pea Ridge; mother-in-law, Brenda Free of Conway, Ar.; a sister, Karen Rust of Pea Ridge; sister -in-law, Lori Moyer (Matt) of Webb City, Mo.; brother-in-law, David Clark (Cindy) of Kingston, Tn.; his dog and constant companion, Maggie and several nieces and nephews.
Service is set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7 at the First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with Pastor Al Fowler officiating. Arrangements are with Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will begin October 7 at noon before the service at the church.
