Ruth Marie King, 88, of Rogers, died November 9 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.
She was born September 14, 1929 in West Jefferson, North Carolina to Delbert Alfred Houck and Alice Reaves Jordan Houck. She was the owner and operator of Rogers Cab Co. and was a Baptist. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ray Spencer Childress; second husband, Clarence Lee King; her companion, Robert Lynaugh, three brothers, James, Robert and Bud Houck; a sister, Margaret Essaf; a grandson, Timothy Childress and a great-grandson, Dawson Barnum.
Survivors are, four sons, David Childress (Andrea) of California, Jack Childress (Ellen) of Aberdeen, Maryland, Edward Childress (Stacey) of Rogers and Glen Childress of Pea Ridge; a brother, Donald Houck of Aberdeen, Maryland; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neices and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
