Sterlon Evan McCool, 82, of Seligman died July 31 at his home.

He was born January 17, 1938 in McDonald County, Missouri to Sterlon I. McCool and Wanda I. Goodnight McCool. He was a 1957 graduate of Bentonville High School. He married Patsy Elaine Lombard January 20, 2001. He was a Benton County Police Officer retiring after 25 years. He loved woodworking and worked for Richard Hurd Cabinets and also owned a cabinet shop in Pea Ridge. He enjoyed county music, was a jokester, and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Assembly of God in Pineville, Missouri and is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Connie Bowen and two granddaughters.

Survivors are his wife Patsy Elaine McCool of the home; two sons Richard McCool and wife Lois of Arlington, Arizona, Clint Hall and wife Nancy of Seligman; one daughter Vicky Cravens and husband Dan of Seligman; one sister Barbara Decker of Garfield; one brother Sherman McCool of Pea Ridge; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service is set for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5 at Pea Ridge Cemetery. Covid-19 rules for social distancing will be followed. No visitation. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
