Thelma Berniece Barton, 85, of Garfield, died March 8, 2020 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville.

She was born August 6, 1934 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma to Roy Parrish and Rita Louise Parker Parrish. She graduated in 1952 from Edmond High School and was the office manager/owner of Pro-Line Cabinets in Garfield for seventeen years. She loved her flowers, traveling and long drives around the country. Berniece loved her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved her Sunday School Class and her church family at First Baptist Church in Garfield. She is preceded in death by her parents; a step-daughter, Carolyn Hightower and a sister, Phyllis Parrish.

Survivors are her husband of forty years, Bill Barton of the home; four children, Barbara Swanson and late husband, Johnny of Batesville, Arkansas, Patty Martin (Stan) of Yukon, Oklahoma, Karen Bryant of Garfield, Arkansas, Mike Webb (Shelly) of Pea Ridge; bonus children, Randy Barton (Dovie) of Missouri, Brenda Bowen (Donnie) of Garfield, Arkansas, Doug Barton (Colleen) of Texas, Jim Webb (Karel) of Oklahoma; a sister, Leta Steele of Texarkana, Texas; seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is set for 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at First Baptist Church in Garfield with Pastor Paul Bryant and Pastor Benny Thompson officiating. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. The family will have a time of visitation after the service at the church. Burial will be in Ruddick Cemetery.
