Verna Louise Dodd, 94, of Garfield, Arkansas died December 1, 2020 at her home.

She was born July 3, 1926 in Bentonville to Louis Samuel Bertschy and Narcissus Looney Bertschy. She graduated Valedictorian of Bentonville High School and then earned a BSBA and a BSBE at the University of Arkansas. She married Sherrel Dodd February 11, 1956 in Fayetteville. She was a office worker, a bank clerk and also a teacher of business at Pea Ridge High School for eighteen years. She was very involved with Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Twelve Corners Baptist in Garfield. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Vivian Allen, Margie Lamb, Evelyn Garnett, Leola King, Calvin Bertschy and Ivan Bertschy.

Survivors are her husband Sherrel Dodd of the home; a son, Dennis Dodd of Eagle Rock, Missouri; siblings, Dick Bertschy of San Antonio, Texas, Leon Bertschy of Hiwassee, Ar., Doug Bertschy of Gravette, Ar., Kay Bowers of Carthage, Missouri; grandchildren, TJ Dodd, Elizabeth Dodd and many great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 4 at Twelve Corners Cemetery in Garfield. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. No Visitation.
